Profile overview
Gwenael weaponizes the assumptions that make an encounter continuous. First a body disappears, then awareness of an opponent, then the memory that a battle was happening at all. Each return forces the target into what feels like another first meeting.
Yachiru is unusually well suited to resist that structure because instinct precedes explanation. She swings where danger feels present even after conscious memory has been removed. Her response turns a sophisticated attack on cognition into a contest against reflex and imaginative reach.
Gwenael Lee is an elderly Quincy-like assassin created by Gremmy Thoumeaux's imagination. He enters Isane Kotetsu's medical shelter during the second invasion and repeatedly disappears while attacking Yachiru Kusajishi. Gwenael presents himself as a Stern Ritter whose Vanishing Point has several stages, but Gremmy eventually reveals that the attacker and his apparent history exist only because The Visionary imagined them.
