Yuji's moral instinct is immediate and practical: if someone can be helped, he moves. That generosity gives him courage, but the jujutsu world repeatedly asks whether a broad desire to save people can survive situations where every available choice causes harm.
His role as Sukuna's vessel makes his body a public danger and a political object. Yuji nevertheless insists on remaining a person who can choose, learn and take responsibility. The conflict between imposed identity and chosen action drives much of his development.
